Identifying grasshoppers, crickets & their allies

Bryan Pinchen
The sound of grasshoppers singing is a familiar summer sound. Together with crickets, groundhoppers and cockroaches and earwigs, grasshoppers belong to the Orthoptera and Allies. We will look at recognising the group, their life cycles, ecology and conservation importance. Hands-on identification sessions will enable is to identify them to species level.
