Solar print making: an introduction

This 2-day course will introduce participants to a very simple and safe method of printmaking. Working with light sensitive printing plates that can be exposed using natural sunlight and then developed in tap water, you will be shown how to transfer found material and hand drawn imagery into unique prints. This versatile method of printmaking can be used to create blind emboss, relief or intaglio prints. This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience of printmaking.
