Art and the Edwardian garden

Twigs Way
As gardens became art in this 'Golden Afternoon', so art turned for inspiration to gardens. Portraying the quintessential country house borders, replete with peacocks, sundials and yew walks, artists such as George Samuel Elgood, Alfred Parsons and Beatrice Parsons, became close friends with the designers and creators of the Edwardian period. The essence of the Edwardian garden is captured on their canvases.
