Evening opening & Sounds Green II
Three Dimensional Jazz Trio. Andy Bunting (Piano), Tom Bunting (Bass) and Sam Jesson (Drums)
On Wednesdays in July this year, we will be staying open late until 8pm for visitors to discover the magic of the early evening Garden.
We are delighted that the Cambridge Summer Music Festival join us again on the Main Lawn, bringing a dynamic repertoire of music from young, upcoming talented groups for this year's Sounds Green proms.
You will be carried away on the flow of this rhythmic and lively jazz trio, featuring favourite jazz standards complete with a driving rhythm section and spectacular improvisation. Regulars at jazz festivals around the country they have performed at Cheltenham Jazz festival, Derby Jazz festivals and the Bonnington Theatre for Jazz Steps Nottingham. The trio are workshop leaders for Derby Jazz and participated in many master classes whilst studying at Birmingham Conservatoire.
This series of Cambridge Summer Music Festival Sounds Green proms are all 'pay as you like' cushion concerts. Please bring along a small folding chair or cushion to sit on, and a picnic if you like, and enjoy an hour of vibrant music, starting at 6.15pm. A retiring pay as you like collection will go towards the musicians fees.
Evening openings are kindly supported by Mills & Reeve.
