Evening opening & Sounds Green III
TROVADOR: Lina Leon (Flute, song), Jesus Olmedo (dance, percussion), Pablo Dominguez (guitar), Javier Macias (song)
On Wednesdays in July this year, we will be staying open late until 8pm for visitors to discover the magic of the early evening Garden.
We are delighted that the Cambridge Summer Music Festival join us again on the Main Lawn, bringing a dynamic repertoire of music from young, upcoming talented groups for this year's Sounds Green proms.
Trovador is a flamenco fusion quartet with influences from Brazilian and classical music, providing a performance full of rhythm, passion and grace. Trovador continues the tradition of flamenco while infusing it with their own musical influences. The band was established in 2009 by Pablo, Jesus and Javier, who developed a repertoire mixing their different skills and musical influences. Soon they gained the fourth essential member: Lina. Coming from a classical music background, she joined the group contributing her singular view of flamenco music. All together, they have developed a set of pieces displaying different ways of expressing flamenco.
This series of Cambridge Summer Music Festival Sounds Green proms are all 'pay as you like' cushion concerts. Please bring along a small folding chair or cushion to sit on, and a picnic if you like, and enjoy an hour of vibrant music, starting at 6.15pm. A retiring pay as you like collection will go towards the musicians' fees.
Evening openings are kindly supported by Mills & Reeve.
