Leaf studies in coloured pencil

Janie Pirie
Tuesday 14 – Thursday 16 May 2013

All botanical subjects are interesting – fruit, vegetables and flowers. However, there’s more to a good piece of botanical illustration than the main, eye-catching bloom. Without the leaves some subjects would be rather flat. This three-day course will show you how to draw a variety of different coloured leaves, shiny leaves, leaves with tiny veins, variegated leaves, furry leaves, damaged leaves and prickly leaves.
