Illustrating bees and butterflies
Ian Loe
Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 June 2013
Insects are by far the largest group of animals in the world. On this course you will be concentrating on just two groups: the Bees and Butterflies. Both are important as pollinators and bees of course as providers of honey. Using preserved specimens from the University’s Zoology Museum, you will examine their intricate structures and beautiful patterns. Teaching and individual tuition will cover a variety of drawing techniques using pencil, pen and watercolour. Beginners are welcome.
