Exotic and Fantastical, from the Apple of Love to the Marvel of Peru, new plants came thick and fast in the Tudor and Elizabethan garden. From Southern Europe, Turkey and the New Worlds flowers were mingling in a riot of colour and scent. Plant collectors and herbalists celebrated the plant world, as use gave way to beauty and beauty led to expense. NB: This session will be part classroom based and part walking in the Garden.
