Plant Identification
Language of plants: a beginner's guide
Peter Stroh
Thursday 13 June 2013
Do you know your sepals from your tepals and your utricles from your glumes? Through practical sessions in the classroom and use of the Garden’s British wild plant collection, the course will introduce the descriptive terms for flowers, grasses, rushes and sedges to give you a basic understanding of the language commonly used in field guides. It is aimed at providing beginners with the confidence to develop their field skills and plant knowledge.
