Looking good now
Through the Woodland and on the Systematic Beds, hoops of orange and yellow crown imperial bells sporting a tuft of bright green leaves are standing in joyful crowds.

Painting Trees in the Garden

John Wiltshire
Tuesday 15 July 2014

Join local artist John Wiltshire for a chance to work outside with practical guidance directly from the inspiring tree collection here at the Garden. On this one-day course you will be painting in restricted colour palette 'en plein air'. This technique offers artists the opportunity to learn and apply a solid foundation for colour mixing and theory. Artists'-quality watercolour paint, paper, brushes, boards and easels will be provided for you to use during the sessions, but you can of course bring your own materials along if you prefer.
