Looking good now
Through the Woodland and on the Systematic Beds, hoops of orange and yellow crown imperial bells sporting a tuft of bright green leaves are standing in joyful crowds.

Families at the Garden

With 40 acres to explore, the Garden is a wonderful place to bring your family for a day out. To make the most of your visit why not join us for one of our family events, borrow a free backpack or pick up a trail for your children to use while you are at the Garden.
Our Family Saturday events are drop-in sessions which run from 11am to 3pm on the first Saturday of every month throughout the year. They are suitable for children from age 4+. There is a different theme each month - examples include how to make plant fossils, hunting for mini-beasts and growing your own plants.

During the school breaks we often have bookable or drop-in activities for children to enjoy as well as trails to follow. Our family activities are usually suitable for children aged 4 and above, but some are designed with older children in mind.

See the event listings below for the sessions coming up this year.
