Looking good now
This beautiful American sweetgum is still aflutter with orange, butter yellow, coral, crimson and deep mulberry coloured leaves, each with five sharply-pointed lobes.

...& help the Garden grow!

The Friends of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden has recently celebrated 30 years and the aims of this vibrant support organisation remain the same as a quarter of a century ago: to support and champion the Garden and its work.
As a Friend, you will be able to enjoy this 40-acre haven, as often as you wish, without paying any further admission charges. You will receive invitations to join trips to other gardens, to come to lectures given by specialists in their field, and enjoy exclusive and out-of-hours social events.

We will keep you up-to-date through three newsletters each year full of pertinent Garden news and you can also sign up to receive twice-monthly email bulletins detailing what’s looking great and what’s in flower in the Garden to help you plan your next visit. We hope that, as a Friend, you will also be encouraged to get more involved through volunteering, perhaps with guiding or helping with education workshops.

Most importantly, as a Friend, you will be supporting one of the world’s leading botanic gardens in its vital education, horticultural and conservation work.

Please browse the Friends webpages via the link to the left to get a flavour of what membership can offer.

To join the Friends, please download the application here or telephone 01223 336271 to speak to the Outreach Administrator. You can take out a single membership, or for two adults at the same address, a joint membership. As soon as we have processed your application, you will receive your membership card(s) and the latest issue of Friends' News, and you can begin what we hope will be a life-long love affair with the Garden!
