Giving in Memory

We receive many welcome requests from visitors and supporters wishing to honour a friend or relative who, in their lifetime, enjoyed and loved the Botanic Garden.

In response, we have established the Giving in Memory Fund to offer a way of commemorating and celebrating a loved one through supporting the Botanic Garden in our work to conserve a heritage landscape, devise new plantings that inspire and enchant, and to engage our visitors with the wonders of plant diversity.
Recently, a major contribution helped us create an Arid Lands display in the Glasshouse Range. It is already proving very popular with visitors and is also well-used by school groups. Other projects supported by gifts to this vital Fund include the bolstering of North American woodland species in the Woodland Garden and the creation of bulb belts to improve the spring displays.

All gifts to the Giving in Memory Fund are recorded in our Book of Benefactions held at 1 Brookside, which can be viewed at any time during Garden opening hours. Please download the Giving in Memory Fund leaflet for further information or contact the Development Officer by telephone via our Enquiry Point during Monday-Friday office hours (9am-1pm / 2-4.30pm) on 01223 336265 to discuss how a gift to the Giving in Memory Fund might be applied.
