Opening Times & Admission

The Garden opens daily at 10am.

Our opening hours are:

January, November + December: 10am–4pm
February, March + October: 10am–5pm
April – September: 10am–6pm

Last paid admission is 30 minutes before closing time.
The Glasshouses and Café close 30 minutes before the Garden; and the Botanic Garden Shop at Brookside closes 15 minutes before the Garden.

Admission prices to visit the Botanic Garden are as follows:

Friend of CUBG: FREE
on production of a valid Friends’ Membership Card

Adult *: £6.00
Concession *: £5.50
Concession: over 65s and students with a recognised identification card

Children 0-16 inclusive: FREE
must be accompanied by an adult at all times

Undergraduate or current Graduate Student at Cambridge University: FREE
on production of a valid University Card

Essential Carer for Disabled Visitor: FREE
no admission charge is made for companions of disabled visitors without whose assistance the disabled visitor would be unable to gain access to the Garden

Standard Adult: £5.45
Standard Concession: £5.00
Concession: over 65s and students with a recognised identification card

* Includes an optional donation of 10% more than the Standard Admission price. If you opt to make this donation and are a UK tax payer, we can also claim Gift Aid on the whole amount you've paid. That's a further 25p on every £1.

Dogs

Guide and assistance dogs are very welcome in the Garden, however please note that no other dogs are allowed.

Picnics
We welcome picnics and there are many benches throughout the Garden, as well as several areas with picnic benches (some with wheelchair accessible spaces).

Games
Please note that games (including use of balls), sports and music may not played in the Garden.

Bicycles/mini-scooters
These should be parked in the bike parks at the gates and may not be brought into/used in the Garden.

Luggage storage
We do not have any storage facilities and are unable to store luggage or other bags at our gates or ticket offices.
