A group guided tour of the Garden in the company of an expert Garden Guide provides an outing of real insight and enjoyment. Tours are tailor-made to the season and always reflect what is looking best at the time, as well as giving a thorough grounding in the landscapes and plant collections of this heritage-listed Botanic Garden. Specialist tours are also available and magical out-of-hours tours can also be arranged.
The maximum ratio for ensuring good communication is one tour guide to each group of twelve people. There is no minimum group size as long as the minimum tour price is met.
Guided tours must be booked at least four weeks in advance. From 1 March 2012 the charge for a daytime tour is £5 per person plus the normal Garden admission charge (£4.50 or £3.95 concession). The minimum group tour cost is £50 plus normal Garden admission (for 9 people or fewer). A non-refundable deposit is required for tour bookings together with a completed Group visit booking form. This tour is also offered in the evening during the summer season. The charge is £8.00 per person plus normal Garden admission with a minimum group tour charge of £80.00.
