Choose from a selection of observational walks including tree trails, seasonal collecting and map navigation. In our Glasshouse Range, explore the tropical rainforest, examine amazing carnivorous plants and learn about all the fascinating adaptations that plants have developed to cope in different environments.

Depending on the season, select one of our hands-on discovery activities, which include seed-sowing, mini-beast and vegetable hunts, bark rubbing and fantasy seed construction. Try some outdoor maths, using our 'numbers in nature' or 'tree measuring' activities as part of your visit to the Garden. Add a new dimension to topic work by discovering the story of chocolate, introducing biodiversity, and 'Go bananas' with our fairtrade-focused talk and banana tasting session.

A list of activities is available to download on the left.

A selection of lesson plans are also available to download for self-led visits.
