The Cory Library comprises over 9000 volumes of horticultural works dating from the 17th century to the present day, and is one of the best of its kind in the UK. It is particularly strong in European and Mediterranean floras, in monographs of horticulturally important genera, and in taxonomic and horticultural reference works from alpines, trees and shrubs to landscape design and history.
The Library also maintains a near-complete collection of Curtis’s Botanical Magazine and Gardener’s Chronicle. It receives around 60 periodical titles and maintains an active acquisition policy to ensure its contemporary relevance.
Due to staffing constraints, the Cory Library is open only by appointment and is unable to lend volumes. To consult the Library, please send through an email enquiry using the Contact Form
