To request an Educational visit please telephone the Education Office 01223 331875 to check availability. Once your visit date is confirmed please complete and return the Education Group Booking Form, which you can download from the link on the left. The Garden can accommodate a maximum of 100 school children on any one day.
Enquiries should be made at least one week in advance for an Unassisted visit and four weeks in advance for an Assisted visit.
Lead Teachers are requested to discuss their requirements with the Education Office at the time of booking. Teachers who are visiting for the first time are recommended to have a free of charge pre-visit with or without an Education Officer at a mutually convenient time.
A List of Activities can be downloaded from either the Primary Schools section of the website (Foundation to KS2) or the Secondary Schools section (KS3, KS4, KS5).
We recommend a standard-size class undertake no more than 3 directed activities and then spend some time exploring the Garden. The Activities list is divided into sections. We recommend selecting three varied activities from the different sections: walks, glasshouse activities, outdoor activities, indoor activities (assisted visits only) to make up a visit.
