To request an Educational visit please telephone the Education Office on 01223 331875 or email email@example.com to check availability. Once your visit date is confirmed please complete and return the Education Group Booking Form, which you can download from the link on the left.
Enquiries should be made at least one week in advance for an Unassisted visit and minimum four weeks in advance for an Assisted visit.
Please discuss your requirements with the Education Office at the time of booking.
Teachers who are visiting for the first time are recommended to have a free of charge pre-visit with or without an Education Officer.
Our Education Officers can assist your visit if it is pre-booked. These Assisted Visits can accommodate up to 36 pupils and will last 2 hours. The visit includes the use of our new classroom - the 'Garden Room' which is located in the Schools Garden. Assisted visits can be booked between the core hours of 10am and 2pm and are suitable for students at KS1 and above.
**Note: There are a limited number of Assisted visits available in any academic year.
You are welcome to lead your own group around the Botanic Garden, without the assistance of one of our Education Officers. This type of visit is free of charge for students and accompanying adults providing that it is pre-booked at least one week in advance.
Please be aware that there is no undercover shelter provided for school groups visiting on an 'Unassisted' basis unless the Garden Room has been booked as part of your visit. However storage trunks for non-valuable possessions (e.g. packed lunches) may be available to use free of charge. Please check availability at time of booking.
Our Education Officers can design a bespoke visit to meet your needs. Please contact the Education Office to discuss. Charges for this type of visit vary according to the activity and length of visit..
2 hour Assisted Visit for KS1 & above, including use of the Garden Room in the Schools Garden: £150 per visit (Maximum 36 students).
Unassisted Visit including the use of the Garden Room in Schools Garden for an £75 (Maximum 72 students).
Unassisted Visit without use of the Garden Room: FREE of charge. (Maximum 100 students).
