In July, the balmy summer weather continued. It was consistently hot throughout the month, and reached 32.6°C on the 22nd, likely the highest maximum for the year, and hit 30.5°C on the 17th. The average temperature for July was 25.6°C.
We had a prolonged drought at the start of the month, lasting 19 days and the lawns started to go brown. This ended with a dramatic rainfall of 20.1mm over a relatively short period of time on the 22nd. After the drought, the rain total accumulation for the month was 44.1mm, falling in only nine days. We had three thunder storms on the 23rd, 27th and the 29th.
