Nesting great tits: May 2014

Last year our webcam-fitted bird box lay empty after blue tits had successfully raised a brood the year before. But in early May this year a pair of great tits moved in and laid a clutch of eight eggs, all of which have now hatched (although two later than the other six), setting off a feeding frenzy to fatten up before fledging.
