Unfortunately, once again this month we have been without a working maximum thermometer and so have no maximum temperature readings for June '14.
However, it has been a lovely month full of warm sunny days and a "quare stretch in the evenin' ", as we say in Northern Ireland, and the air minimum readings have rarely dipped below 10°C.
Our rainfall was average, reading at 46.9mm which has kept the gardens vegetation lush in the heat. Three thunder storms passed through. One on the 28th brought us our highest reading for the month of 13.7mm.
July is set to be warm again so keep an eye on the UV levels and pollen count for those of you who are sickly and pale like myself.
