Prolonged sunny spells and just enough rain to tide things over has meant that the Garden is looking its best.
We had 3 maximum readings of 29 degrees and an overall max of 31.0 on the 18th of July. We also had our hottest evening so far with an air minimum of 19.2 degrees on the 19th. The rainfall has been average, totalling 50.9mm.
Though the latter half of July was drier and the ground was cracked in places, we had some heavy falls of rain at the start of the month: Over the day and evening of the 10th we had 20.9mm fall in one go. We also recorded 6 instances of thunder throughout the month. However, these were not often associated with heavy rain storms.
