Botanical Art

Cambridge University Botanic Garden is the perfect place to be inspired by plants. Our art courses range from one-day sessions for complete beginners and technique masterclasses for the more experienced artists, to three-day botanical illustration courses with a focus on a particular plant family.
Art & Illustration courses at the Garden are designed by our tutors to suit different levels of experience: beginners, intermediates and those with experience. Please check the individual course details for our recommendations.

Students will need to provide their own artist materials except for courses ‘en plein air’. Specialist materials will be provided where required e.g. gilding, gold leaf, together with plant material from the Garden’s extensive collection.

Please do contact us if you have any questions about whether a particular course might be suitable for you.
