November 2014

November has been an extraordinarily warm month with average maximums of 12.6°C and an overall high on the 1st of 21.5°C. This is unusual as our average high tends to stay below 10°C.
It was also a slightly wetter month than normal with 21 days of measurable rain, bringing the monthly total to 63mm. This included three days when the reading was over 10mm and there were several days where parts of the paths around the Garden were flooded. This mild mixed with damp has made for a prolonged Autumn, and with only three moderate air frosts, leaves stayed fixed to the trees (despite the frustration of many a gardener) until well into late November.

With December on the horizon, the weather looks to turn colder. I can't promise any snow... but we can stay optimistic!
