October 2015

October has been a dry and mild month with spectacular and prolonged autumnal colours.

We had 43.1mm of measurable rain over 13 days, most falling on three occasions: the 6th, 7th and the 20th. On average we tend to get between 55-60mm during October.
The mild weather gave us an average maximum of 15.5°C, with our overall max 19.6.°C. However we did have our first touches of ground frost on three occasions, the lowest being -2.0°C on the 25th.

Regardless of this, the air minimum has been fluctuating between highs of 14.6°C and lows of 1.5°C, creating an average of 7.5°C, so cooling was at a steady slow rate, which of course has helped with the autumn colour.
