Student Syndicate representative

The Garden's Syndicate body which oversees the strategic direction and operational management of the Botanic Garden, has a position available for a University student member from January 2019.

The closing date for expressions of interest is Monday 15 October 2018.
The Syndicate meets four times per year, and makes an annual report to the General Board. The Syndicate is chaired by Dame Fiona Reynolds, Master of Emmanuel College, as the Vice Chancellor’s representative. The Director of the Botanic Garden, Professor Beverley Glover, acts as secretary to the Syndicate.

To ensure a wider range of views are represented on the Syndicate we would like to nominate a University of Cambridge student member from January 2019.

The student member will likely have some direct involvement with and understanding of the Garden through one or more of research, learning or community activity.

Interested students are encouraged to email Beverley Glover ( with a brief explanation of why they would like to be nominated.
