Japanese pagoda tree

The Japanese pagoda tree, Styphnolobium henryi is a fine sight in early autumn on the southern edge of the Gilbert-Carter Memorial Area. It bears creamy flowers, flushed peachy-yellow, in profuse airy panicles, and flowers long after most other ornamental trees have finished their displays.
