Looking good now
These wonderful flowers on the Broussonetia kazinoki, a handsome tree in the Mulberry family, are such a contrast of hard, knotty globe at the centre of a diaphanous halo of pale lilac-pink filaments.

This week's plant picks

Gareth makes the picks this week. As well as the specific plants, he recommends that the Limestone rock garden is looking great, the new Tropical Wetlands house is moving along nicely with four huge pads on the Victoria cruziana nearly touching. The Bee borders are attracting a lot of attention and the new meadow planting on the east boundary is on the move'. So contrary to the plot marks, he did get out of the Western half of the Garden!
