This beautiful plant produces waves of pale primrose yellow scabious-like flowers on 2-metre high wiry stems. It is a great feature for the Herbacous Border and is outstanding on our Systematic Beds.
At any point from now on, you can see new pale yellow buds developing, interleaved with sharply-pointed bracts at the same time as the lovely globular seedheads of ermine-fringed diamond-shaped seeds, each pushed out when ripe.
