Garden Research Plots

A key element of the Garden’s remit is to provide dedicated growing facilities to support research projects from around the University. These plots give an area of open ground to grow collections, large scale ecological projects or sometimes single genera, such as potatoes, for experiments. They compliment the
Research Glasshouses.
The Garden's weather station is also located here and provides daily readings to the Met Office. Monthly summaries of our readings are posted on the website - follow the Climate & Soils link left.

A new path was constructed through this area in 2011 which provides access through this area giving an insight to this previously closed area. Parts of this area are under development to illustrate some of the research work undertaken.
