Looking good now
This huge mound of a rose plant is like a pink-flushed sherbert fountain, attracting pollen beetles and bees.

Meet the Family

We have been developing some new interpretation panels which will be installed in time for Festival of Plants to help introduce the richness of the our unique Systematic Beds as a scientific teaching resource to our visitors. So come and have a go at finding your inner Darwin and practise your observation skills to determine which plant belongs in which family!
Best plant families for this time of year include Leguminosae (bean), Umbelliferae (carrot), Compositae (daisy), Lamiaceae (mint) and Cruciferae (crucifers).
