Looking good now
These wonderful flowers on the Broussonetia kazinoki, a handsome tree in the Mulberry family, are such a contrast of hard, knotty globe at the centre of a diaphanous halo of pale lilac-pink filaments.

Compositae Beds

Perennial sunflowers combine with Cosmos and Tithonia rotundifolia to contribute vibrant, bonfire colours to the autumn palette on the Systematic Beds.
Together with the asters, these are perhaps the more obvious members of the Compositae or Daisy family, but others, such as the knapweeds, globe thistles and artichokes also contribute autumn interest with their strong, structural burnished seedheads, often armoured with spikes and bristles.
