June is the time of year when there is an abundance of brightly coloured flowers in the Garden thus enabling participants to produce a summer bouquet in watercolours. We will have a range of blooms to choose from the extensive collection of flowering plants at the Botanic Garden. An important element of this course will be looking at composition. Time will be spent on planning a balanced layout of stems, blooms and spaces. Through a combination of group demonstrations, but mainly individual tuition, Reinhild will encourage you over the three days, to produce your own unique and exciting mixed portrait of June flowers.
Suitable for intermediates.
Reinhild is a qualified teacher as well as an experienced Botanical Artist. She received her first of four gold medals from the RHS for her monograph on the genus Saintpaulia. Many of her illustrations are housed at Kew in their permanent collection. Reinhild regularly holds major exhibitions of her work in London and Bury St Edmunds.
The wearing of face coverings is requested whilst in the Classroom, and all indoor facilities at the Garden, unless you are exempt.
