Plums, cherries, mangoes and apricots and many more fruits have a hard seedcase surrounded by soft edible flesh. We shall study both the outside and the inside of some of these fruits, drawing them and learning how to paint them.
All abilities are welcome on this three day course.
Originally a teacher, Penny Price retrained to become a calligrapher, and then a botanical artist, After training at the Chelsea School of Botanic Art, Chelsea Physic Garden, London, she was awarded a Silver Gilt medal by the RHS in 2014. She teaches at Kew Gardens, Chelsea Physic Garden and here at Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Penny’s work is included in various collections including the Fitzwilliam Museum and Sydney Royal Botanic Garden Florilegium Society archive, and she is a Fellow of both the Hampton Court Palace and the Chelsea Physic Garden Floregium Societies.
The wearing of face coverings is requested whilst in the Classroom, and all indoor facilities at the Garden, unless you are exempt.
