This hands-on workshop will cover the theory and practice of pruning deciduous shrubs. It will discuss different pruning scenarios including when and how to prune. It will cover the different tools, techniques, and principles used in maintenance and renovative pruning. The workshop will also address aftercare needs including watering, feeding and mulching. The attendees will have an opportunity to put their newly learned knowledge and skills into practice under guidance, by having a go at pruning different shrubs in the Winter Garden.
Andrea is a Senior Horticulturalist looking after the Eastern Displays at Cambridge University Botanic Garden. She has over ten years of horticultural experience gained in a variety of settings and has trained with the RHS and Kew Gardens.
