Working directly from an arrangement of plant specimens from the Botanic Garden’s collection, this one-day course will focus on the relationships between different forms and structures and how to depict them.
Using a restricted palette of colours you will learn practical techniques and observational skills that will help to develop painting ability. Artists’ quality watercolour paint, paper, brushes, boards and easels will be provided to use during the sessions, but students are welcome to bring their own materials if preferred.
This course is suitable for artists of all levels.
