Join award winning basketry maker Debbie Hall to create beautiful garden accessories to support your plants and let the birds in your garden live and dine in style.
On day one you will learn how to make beautiful willow bird-feeders, bird-tables or bird-houses and even birds themselves! On the second day you will continue using traditional basket-making techniques to produce small plant border supports for your garden. Both projects will use willow as well as a range of other plant materials from the Botanic Garden, and local hedgerows.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners to seasoned basket-makers as there will be different projects tailored to a range of abilities. It would also make an excellent first introduction for those who wish to learn how to make round baskets using the stake and strand method; several of the projects will be using the same techniques, but without the need for complicated borders.
