Applications are invited for the post of Garden Landscape Team Leader who will help to develop, maintain and future-proof our diverse tree collection of approximately 2000 trees, and associated garden landscape, including Woodland and Stream Gardens, and lawns.
You will have a keen interest and in-depth knowledge to manage a historically and scientifically significant tree collection and the landscape in which it sits. Working with the Head of Horticulture and the Curation team you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the tree collection, in line with our Living Collection Strategy, from sourcing and acquiring plants and tree establishment to management of mature trees, and tree safety and hazard management.
The role-holder will also manage a team comprising a Trees and Shrubs section and the Landscape and Machinery Section. You will lead on planning, budgeting, and staff management, and will assist in the delivery of practical work within the team. You will have good organisational, planning, communication and leadership skills.
