Murray Edwards College Garden Tour
Enjoy a tour of a garden for a modernist College with Head Gardener, Jo Cobb, to see the late summer spectacular of salvias and tropical plants. Jo has designed the garden to flower and come to life in term time for students to enjoy. The garden staff encourage them to pick the herbs, spinach and flowers as well as fruit in the orchard. Even though it is near the city centre, the wilderness areas are full of birds, reptiles and of course muntjac! The Emma Darwin Greenhouse predates 1880 and has original features like the ironwork and fish scale glass.
