Painting roses in watercolour
Petula Stone
Tuesday 9 – Wednesday 10 July 2013
Roses have the reputation of being the most popular (and romantic) flower of all time, their many forms offering the artist plenty of creative scope. Working with the Garden’s beautiful collection of roses you’ll learn how to capture the beauty of these flowers in watercolour. Petula will demonstrate a range of painting techniques including 'wet into wet', overlaying washes of colour, negative painting and how to lay in washes of background colour. Group demonstrations and individual guidance make this course suitable for all levels.
