Thank you for your interest in supporting the Garden through membership of the Friends scheme.
Please note, all visits to the Garden need to be pre-booked at the moment, while we need to control numbers for the safety of our staff and visitors.
Joining the Friends scheme helps to support our work in plant conservation and plant science, to maintain our beautiful landscapes and to spread the joy of plants to young and old.
Friends membership includes: free entry to the Garden, exclusive events, trips, tours and talks, and regular updates and news from the Garden, find out more below.
A single membership currently costs £38 and a joint membership costs £65.
From 1 July 2021 a single membership will cost £44 and a joint membership will cost £75
Corporate membership information can be found here.
Friends enjoy free entry to the Garden (although an additional charge may be made on special events days such as Apple Day). We hope this will encourage you to come often through the year to discover how the Garden changes from season to season.
To join the Friends or buy a Gift Membership, please see above.
Friends can keep up to date with news from the Garden and Friends’ events through these pages, and also through the tri-annual Friends’ Newsletter.
You can also choose to sign up to receive regular e-news bulletins that include details on what’s going on in CUBG, the latest events and which plants and landscapes are at their best, just let us know via email if you would like to receive these updates.
Each member, Single or Joint, must present their Friends membership card at the ticket office on arrival. Without a valid Friends card you will be charged the normal admission fee. Further rules of admission can be found here.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, please consider Gift Aiding your membership by completing the Gift Aid section of the form. For administrative reasons, this section needs completing each time, even if renewing.
