Looking good now
These wonderful flowers on the Broussonetia kazinoki, a handsome tree in the Mulberry family, are such a contrast of hard, knotty globe at the centre of a diaphanous halo of pale lilac-pink filaments.

Willow work projects 2
Mary Butcher
Tuesday 25 - Wednesday 26 June 2013
This two-day willow work course is suitable for all levels of experience. Beginners will learn the basic weaves needed to get started in basketry and will put these skills into practice by making a small round basket that they can take home with them. With Mary’s guidance, those with more experience will be able to work on individual basket projects involving more advanced shapes and forms. (A repeat of the March course, participants are welcome to attend either one or both of these Willow Work Projects courses.)
