Sounds Green V: Meridian Duo

Wednesday 31 July 2013
Closing the 2013 Sounds Green series, we are thrilled to be welcoming the Meridian Duo to the Garden. Meridian is a vibrant duo with a dual purpose: to unveil the dynamic and lyrical voice of marimbas and percussion through powerful and evocative performances and to create inspirational and inclusive experiences for people across community sectors. More recently they have begun to co-write their own material and explore live improvisation.

Sounds Green proms take place every Wednesday evening this July. These are relaxed and informal recitals on the Main Lawn from young, up-and-coming ensembles excited by the prospect of performing in such glorious surroundings. Do bring along a small folding chair or cushion to sit on – and check the weather forecast to see if a brolly and raincoat may be required for the English summer!

The Garden Café will be offering a seasonal special menu and a Main Lawn outstation will be set up offering delicious nibbles and antipasti, icecreams, fresh strawberries with cream.

We are indebted to Mills & Reeve for their support for Sounds Green.

Please note that music at Sounds Green is not amplified.
Prom begins at 6.15pm, Garden closes at 8pm
Normal Garden admission applies.
