Researching Historic Garden Sources in the Digital Age
Friday 20 June 2014
With so much on-line material available a budding garden historian can do much of their research in the comfort of their own home. This session is ideal for those who need guiding through some of the wealth of websites and on-line source materials. Resources are there for those researching both individual sites and more general themes relating to garden history – from the basics of the English Heritage 'Registers', through on-line historic estate maps, aerial photographs, Country Life images, to the financial 'pitfalls' of eBay and AbeBooks. Website pages will be shown on a screen available for all, but those with mobile wifi are welcome to bring their own devices.

If the course is fully booked (shown as 'out of stock') and you would like to go on a waiting list, please contact the Outreach Office on 01223 331875.
