Historic Garden Books and Herbaria

Twigs Way
Friday 18 July 2014

This is a rare opportunity to explore the wealth of historic materials in the collections of the University of Cambridge’s Herbarium and the Botanic Garden’s Library. After an introduction in class highlighting the ways in which such material can form a vital part of garden history research we will visit the Herbarium in the company of the Herbarium’s chief technician, Christine Bartram, and then view a specially chosen selection of books from the Garden’s own Library.
