Painting Fruit & Vegetables in Watercolour

Petula Stone
Tuesday 8 July & Wednesday 9 July 2014

Fruit and vegetables offer the botanical artist a wonderful variety of subject matter in terms of colour, form and texture. Careful consideration will be given to the planning of a successful composition, with the possible inclusion of some hand lettering. Petula will demonstrate how to achieve smooth washes of colour and how to build up deeper tones in layers. Colour mixing and 'greens' will also be considered. A combination of group and individual tuition will be used and the course is suitable for all levels. (Petula has illustrated vegetables for Country Living magazine.)
