Friday 6 July 2018

This course is suitable for beginners using either Bridge Cameras (Superzooms) or SLR/CSC cameras with changeable lenses.

Led by photographer Pete Murray you will make the most of the Garden and Glasshouses to discover how to take pictures in a variety of situations. The course will show you how to take control of your camera, and use built-in camera modes including an introduction to Aperture mode. Picture styles covered in the day include landscapes, adding foreground interest, dealing with movement, plant portraits, and capturing close-up detail. Pete will show you how to set up your camera and compose pictures in a variety of locations in the Garden using subjects of seasonal interest. His ‘step-by-step’ approach will allow you to gain confidence in using your camera and which will help you to consistently take better pictures.

Summary handouts will be provided for you to use at home. SLR and CSC camera owners who have a choice of lenses will have the opportunity to try these out during the session.
