Natural inspiration printing: Imprints of Nature using Daylight

Susie Turner
Tuesday 10 July 2018 - Thursday 12 July 2018

This practical three-day course will primarily explore ways of working with natural material and light sensitive printing plates that can be exposed using daylight and developed in tap water. This method of printmaking allows for fine detail and a wide tonal range. During the course you will learn how to transfer pressed foliage, your own hand drawn originals and photographs into unique fine art prints. You will also have the opportunity to make photogenic drawings using the simple camera-less photographic process of ‘cyanotype’.

Some preparation of artwork would be useful in advance of the course, but further information will be provided on how to do this closer to the time of the course.

The course is suitable for beginners as well as for those with printing experience.
