Painting Trees ‘en plein air’ (Spring)

John Wiltshire
Saturday 21 April 2018

Wrap up warm ready to work 'en plein air' using tonal ink techniques to capture the beautiful landscape of the Botanic Garden. Tonal techniques are often used for preparatory sketches and are ideal for working rapidly in changeable weather conditions. With tutor demonstrations and support you will learn practical skills that will help you paint in the open air.

Materials will be provided including inks and watercolours, artists'-quality brushes, paper, stools, boards and easels, along with plenty of hot drinks. You can, of course, bring your own materials if you prefer.

The course is suitable for all levels.
