Illustrating Sweet Peas

Penny Price
Tuesday 5 June - Thursday 7 June 2018

Sweet peas are lovely subjects to paint and study as well as to smell. They belong to the Legume (Fabaceae) family of plants. By initially drawing and then painting these beautiful flowers on this three-day course we will learn more about their structure and how they grow.

Penny will be on hand to guide you with advice on colour mixing and painting techniques to help you achieve the textures and colours of pods, seeds, flowers, leaves and stems. You will also be shown how to record the plant with all relevant material for completing your final painting.

The course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience of botanical illustration.
